Touto normou se zavádí ST SEV 4065-83 jako ČSN, jíž se pro potřeby tehdejší ČSSR (ČSFR), resp. ČR norma RVHP nedoplňovala. Podstata zkoušky: Metoda je založena na vytlačování roztaveného polyethylenu tryskou kapilárního plastometru při dané teplotě a tlaku a následujícím stanovení součinitele narůstání na ochlazeném výtlačku v závislosti na průměru trysky plastometru. Postup normalizované zkoušky je podrobně popsán. ČSN 64 0312 byla schválena 30.8.1984 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.1.1986. Nahradila čl. 60 až 64 ČSN 64 3010 z 15.8.1973
