Touto normou se zavádí ST SEV 3758-82 jako ČSN, jíž se pro potřeby tehdejší ČSSR (ČSFR), resp. ČR doplnily tři články, které se nevztahují k ochraně zdraví. Norma RVHP stanoví metody zkoušení stárnutí plastů účinkem přirozených a uměle napodobených klimatických podmínek. Podstata i provedení normalizované zkoušky je podrobně popsáno. ČSN 64 0770 byla schválena 6.10.1983 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.1.1985. Nahradila ČSN 64 0771 z 12.1.1972, ČSN 64 0772 z 12.1.1972 a ČSN 64 0773 z 29.10.1974
