Tato norma doplňuje technické požadavky na jednotlivé konstrukční prvky vysokých svislých válcových nádob kolonového typu (dále jen nádob) jak jsou uvedeny v ČSN 69 0010 nebo ČSN 69 0015. Norma neobsahuje technické požadavky na vnější obslužné konstrukce těchto nádob, které jsou řešeny v ČSN 69 0830. Normalizovány jsou zejména požadavky na opěrnou konstrukci, zařízení, materiál, přípustné výrobní odchylky a požadavky na kontrolu. ČSN 69 3431 byla vydána v únoru 1997
