Touto normou se zavádí ST SEV 745-77 jako ČSN, jíž se pro potřeby tehdejší ČSSR (ČSFR), resp. ČR norma RVHP nedoplňovala. Norma RVHP se vztahuje na bezpečnostní sklo pro automobily, traktory a zemědělské stroje a určuje metody stavení pevnosti v rázu nárazem koule hmotnosti 227 a 2260 g, nárazem fantomu a metodu stanovení neškodnosti úlomků při rozbití. Normalizovány jsou jak podmínky, tak provedení zkoušek. ČSN 70 0592 byla schválena 21.2.1980 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.7.1980. Nahradila v ČSN 70 0590 z 9.3.1962 část A, B, C a v ČSN 70 0593 z 10.10.1962, část A, B
