Tato norma stanoví všeobecná a společná ustanovení pro jednotlivé metody nedestruktivního zkoušení zkušebních vzorků, stavebních dílců a konstrukcí z obyčejného hutného betonu, které jsou uvedeny v návazných zkušebních normách. Některé z těchto metod lze použít pro zkoušení lehkého mezerovitého betonu nebo i jiných stavebních materiálů, pokud to zkušební normy pro tyto metody dovolí a pokud jsou stanoveny těsné korelační vztahy mezi ukazatelem nedestruktivního zkoušení a sledovanou vlastností
