Tato norma stanovuje požadavky pro navrhování, provádění a zkoušení podlah, včetně požadavků

na přejímky mezi fázemi výstavby. Norma rozlišuje dva druhy podlah: podlahy v bytové a občanské výstavbě a průmyslové podlahy. Rozdělení podlah je podle jejich zatížení (viz 3.2).

Tato norma se nevztahuje na nemovité kulturní památky a na objekty pro ustájení zvířat. Norma nezohledňuje specifické požadavky sportovních činností na podlahy
