Tato norma specifikuje uzanční referenční gravimetrickou metodu stanovení rozpuštěných anorganických solí (RAS) pro účely hodnocení znečištění odpadních vod podle legislativních požadavků. Stanovení RAS je jen přibližnou mírou obsahu anorganických rozpuštěných látek v odpadní vodě. Metodu lze použít pro vzorky odpadních vod s koncentrací RAS od 100 mg/l do 2 500 mg/l (při zkoušeném objemu vzorku 100 ml). Pracovní rozsah lze rozšířit použitím menšího zkoušeného objemu vzorku.
