Norma platí pro výrobu, dodávání a zkoušení obuvnických vrchových chromitých usní hovězinových štípenek, upravených z lícové strany štípenky broušením na velury. V tabulce znaků jakosti je uvedeno, že obsah oxidu chromitého se pohybuje od 3,0 - 7 % a obsah vyluhovatelného chromu, zkoušený podle ČSN 79 3873, nesmí překročit 100,00 µg.g-1. ČSN 79 2250 byla schválena 1.9.1986 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.8.1987. Nahradila ČSN 79 2250 z 12.12.1955.
