Norma platí pro výrobu, dodávání a zkoušení postrojových chromitotříslených hlazenic z hovězin. Norma předepisuje zkoušku na obsah chromu, jehož obsah předepisuje na max. 0,6 % a zkoušku na obsah vyluhovatelného chromu, jehož množství předepisuje na max. 100 µg. g-1, a to podle ČSN 79 3872 a ČSN 79 3873. ČSN 79 2630 byla schválena 24.12.1981 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.10.1982. Nahradila ČSN 79 2630 z 27.12.1956. "Změnou a)-9/1985" se s účinností od 1.10.1981 mění ustanovení čl. 12: "Postup při měření tloušťky a požadavky na tlakoměr stanoví ČSN 79 3809"
