Norma platí pro výrobu a dodávání osobního prádla, ložního prádla, polštářů, prošívaných přikrývek a souprav z tkanin. Norma neřeší, neobsahuje a ani se nedotýká problematiky ochrany zdraví. ČSN 80 7602 byla schválena 17.1.1985 a nabyla účinnosti od 1.1.1986. Nahradila ČSN 80 7602 z r.1977. "Změnou 1)-10/1993" se s účinností od 1.2.1994 provádějí rozsáhlejší změny textu. "Změnou 2)-6/1993" se s účinností od 1.9.1993 ruší a novým textem nahrazuje čl.3. Poznámka: "Změna 2" vyšla dříve, než "změna 1"
