Tato norma se týká klasifikace izolací povrchu plechů a pásů pro elektrotechniku a výstřižků, které se z nich vyrábějí. Norma tohoto druhu nebyla dosud v České republice zavedena. U izolací jde přitom o vrstvy oxidů nebo o povlaky. Klasifikace tabulkovou formou je rozdělena na 11 typů vždy s krátkou charakteristikou a možnostmi použití. Norma se opírá o již zavedené Evropské normy z oblasti magnetických materiálů, tj. zejména plechy a pásy pro elektrotechnické účely
