Tato norma je českou verzí evropské normy EN 1195:1997. Evropská norma EN 1195:1997 má status české technické normy. Tato evropská norma stanovuje zkušební postupy pro zjišťování chování nosných podlah, vystavených:
- - určitému statickému soustředěnému zatížení (vyvozenému např. osobami, nábytkem a zařízením)
- - určitému rázovému zatížení (způsobenému např. pohybujícími se osobami).
Jsou uvažovány podlahy z prken, spárovek nebo desek na bázi dřeva, které jsou uloženy na dřevěných nosnících. Postup normalizované zkoušky je podrobně popsán. ČSN EN 1195 (73 2078) byla vydána v červenci 1998
