Tato evropská norma stanoví požadavky na bezpečnost, konstrukci a provozní vlastnosti elektronických poměrových regulátorů plynné palivo/vzduch (GARC), u nichž se předpokládá, že budou provozovány v hořácích a ve spotřebičích na plynná paliva. Norma také stanoví zkušební postupy pro vyhodnocování těchto požadavků a specifikuje nezbytné informace pro instalaci a pro uživatele. Tato norma platí pouze pro poměrové regulátory palivo/vzduch s uzavřenou smyčkou a v rámci třídění nerozlišuje GARC podle tepelného příkonu. Tato norma platí pro elektronické GARC, které mohou být zkoušeny samostatně, a také jako součást spotřebiče nebo hořáku na plynná paliva.
