Norma specifikuje požadavky na korkové podložky vyrobené z aglomerovaného korku určené k tomu, aby ve spojení s jakýmkoliv druhem pružné podlahové krytiny zlepšily její akustické vlastnosti a/nebo tvořily podklad jakékoliv tuhé podlahové krytiny. Případně se mohou použít ke zlepšení tepelných vlastností podlahovin. Tato norma rovněž stanoví požadavky na označování. Korkové podložky se dodávají v arších nebo v návinech. Použití korkových podložek by se mělo řídit pokyny výrobce.
