Tato norma specifikuje titrační metodu pro stanovení hliníku ve slitinách zinku. Platí pro výrobky specifikované v EN 1774 Zinek a slitiny zinku - Slitiny pro slévárenské účely - Ingoty a tekutý kov a EN 12844 Zinek a slitiny zinku - Odlitky - Specifikace. Norma charakterizuje princip metody a stanovuje požadavky na potřebné chemikálie a přístroje použité k rozboru. Dále předepisuje postup stanovení obsahu hliníku včetně výpočtu a vyjádření výsledků. Součástí normy jsou informativní přílohy s informacemi o kruhových zkouškách a grafickém vyjádření výsledků. Norma je vhodná pro stanovení obsahů hliníku (hmotnostní podíl) mezi 3 % a 30 %
