Tato norma je českou verzí evropské normy EN 12466:1998. Evropská norma EN 12466:1998 má status české technické normy. Tato evropská norma uvádí definice pro termíny, vztahující se k pružným podlahovým krytinám v rolích nebo ve tvaru dlaždic. Česky, anglicky, francouzsky a německy je uvedeno názvosloví.
