Norma je českou verzí evropské normy EN 12766-2:2001. Uvádí dva postupy výpočtu ("metodu A" a "metodu B") obsahu PCB. Metoda se používá pro nové, upotřebené a upravené (např. dechlorované) ropné výrobky včetně syntetických mazacích olejů, směsí rostlinných olejů a oleje vhodně regenerované z jiných materiálů, např. z odpadů. V normě jsou uvedeny odkazy na EN normy. Dále je tam uveden výpočet hodnot přesnosti, shodnost a zkušební protokol. V příloze je chromatogram zkušební směsi a tabulky se seznamem kongenerů, retenčních časů a relativních faktorů odezvy a také eluční pořadí PCB kongenerů.
