Shoda se stanovenými mezemi nerovností je jedním z rozhodujících parametrů kvality nové konstrukce vozovky. Nerovnosti povrchu vozovky způsobují zvýšení dynamického zatížení nápravou, zabraňují odtoku vody z povrchu vozovky a mohou ovlivnit řízení vozidla, bezpečnost, jízdní náklady a pohodlí cestujících ve vozidle.
