Norma ČSN EN 13084-5:2005 shrnuje technické údaje a testovací metody pro keramické tvarovky a průmyslově vyráběné malty používané na stavbu zděných ochranných pouzder volně stojících průmyslových komínů Odpovídající souhrnná norma dosud v ČR neexistovala i když obecně pro specifikaci výrobků a materiálů vyzdívaných ochranných pouzder průmyslových komínů existuje řada. Podle těchto jednotlivých norem bylo možno navrhovat, projektovat a montovat zděná ochranná pouzdra. Výhodou uvedené normy je, že shrnuje požadavky a konstrukční zásady pro určitý druh výrobku a více se zabývá kontrolou jakosti.
