Evropská norma EN 13087 popisuje zkušební metody pro ochranné přilby a je určena jako doplněk ke speciálním výrobkovým normám na ochranné přilby. Tato část EN 13087 je zaměřena na zjištění odolnosti proti sálavému teplu. Tepelné sálání z infračerveného zdroje o známé intenzitě dopadá na vnější povrch přilby nasazené na zkušební maketě hlavy vybavené měřicím zařízením. Měří se teplota povrchu makety hlavy.
