Norma ČSN EN 13258 specifikuje dvě zkušební metody (metody A a B) pro stanovení odolnosti proti popraskání glazovaných keramických stolních předmětů určených pro styk s potravinami, které mají nasákavost vyšší než 0,5%. Metoda A je zkouška odolnosti proti popraskání následkem zvětšení objemu působením vlhkosti. Metoda B je zkouška odolnosti proti popraskání následkem náhlé změny teploty.
