Tato norma stanovuje vlastnosti, chemické složení a výtěžnost kovu z odpadu z hliníku obsahujícího stěr, pěnu, přetoky a hrubé částice kovu. Platí také pro hrubé částice kovu získané vysušením pěny a stěru. Předmětem této normy nejsou celé dávky jemných částic pěny s velikostí částic menší než 0,8 mm nebo dávky pěny s výtěžností kovu menší než 30 %.
