Tento dokument specifikuje metodu pro stanovení obsahu volného glycerolu a reziduálních mono-, di- a triglyceridů v methyl esterech mastných kyselin (FAME). Celkový obsah glycerolu se poté vypočítá ze získaných výsledků. Za popsaných podmínek jsou meze stanovitelnosti 0,001 % (m/m) pro volný glycerol, 0,10 % (m/m) pro všechny glyceridy (mono-, di- a tri-). Tato metoda je vhodná pro FAME vyrobené z řepkových, slunečnicových, sójových, palmových a živočišných olejů a tuků a jejich směsi. Není vhodná pro FAME vyrobené nebo obsahující deriváty kokosového a palmojádrového oleje, kvůli překryvu píků různých glyceridů
