Tato evropská norma specifikuje zásadní materiálové požadavky na dřevo a výrobky na bázi dřeva ve vnitřních oknech, vnitřních dveřních křídlech a vnitřních zárubních (s nebo bez zabudovanými částmi), včetně těch, které se vztahují ke vzhledu, biologické trvanlivosti a dalším fyzikálním vlastnostem. Tato evropská norma se týká sestavených oken, vnitřních dveřních křídel a vnitřních zárubní bez povrchové úpravy nebo určených k pozdější povrchové úpravě. Jestliže jsou okna nebo dveře oplášťovány dekorativními dýhami nebo fóliemi, musí pro ně platit příslušná výrobková norma dýhy nebo fólie.
