Tato evropská norma poskytuje návod a případně stanoví postupy pro varianty určitých parametrů a faktorů, spojených s navrhováním vnitřních i vnějších nosných stěn, které byly zkoušeny podle EN 1365-1. Jako podpůrné informace je možno použít údaje z dřívějších zkoušek požární odolnosti. Tato norma nepokrývá zdicí prvky z umělého kamene podle EN 771-5 a zdicí prvky z přírodního kamene podle EN 771-6. Tato evropská norma neplatí pro vyztužené zdivo
