Tato evropská norma popisuje metodu stanovení BADGE, BFDGE a jejich reakčních produktů v simulantech potravin: destilované vodě, 3 % hmotnost/objem vodném roztoku kyseliny octové, 10 % objem/objem vodném roztoku ethanolu a olivovém nebo slunečnicovém oleji. Používá se vysoce účinná kapalinová chromatografie (HPLC) založená na reverzní fázi a fluorescenční detekci. Metoda umožňuje stanovení BADGE a jeho derivátů při minimální koncentraci 0,05 mg/ml simulantu potravin. BFDGE a jeho deriváty lze stanovit při minimální hladině 0,1 mg/ml simulantu potravin. Přímá HPLC analýza migračních roztoků může vést k obtížně interpretovatelným chromatogramům, z důvodu interference s dalšími složkami nebo nestability monomerů s následkem vzniku komplexní směsice derivátů a/nebo reakčních produktů. Nucenou hydrolýzou všech epoxy skupin a jejich reakčních produktů se kvantifikace odpovídajících složek zjednodušuje a navíc totožnost složek je indikativně potvrzena
