Tato evropská norma je použitelná pro výběr šroubů a matic pro příruby značené PN v souladu se souborem norem EN 1092 a pro příruby označované Class v souladu se souborem norem EN 1759. Tato norma specifikuje rozměrové normy, materiály a technické dodací podmínky pro šrouby, svorníky a matice. Výběr materiálů je založen na běžně používaných materiálech.
