Norma stanovuje všeobecné požadavky na konstrukční dřevo, které bylo impregnováno ochrannými prostředky na dřevo proti biologickému napadení. Norma zahrnuje ošetření, která obsahují pesticidy. Norma také stanovuje požadavky pro hodnocení shody a značení impregnovaných dřevěných výrobků. Norma se nevztahuje na jakékoli dodatečné ošetření po připojení označení CE ani na posuzování ochranných látek použitých pro ošetření konstrukčního dřeva.
