Tento dokument poskytuje návod, případně definuje postup při změnách určitých parametrů a faktorů, spojených s návrhem požárně odolných zasklených prvků, zkoušených podle EN 1364-1:2015, a klasifikovaných podle EN 13501-2. Rozšířená aplikace požárně odolných zasklených prvků je založena na výsledcích zkoušky. Tato norma platí pouze pro svisle instalované požárně odolné zasklené prvky. Tato norma neplatí pro dveřní sestavy a pro otevíratelná okna, zkoušené podle EN 1634-1 a neplatí pro závěsové stěny - celé sestavy a závěsové stěny - částečné sestavy podle EN 1364-3 a EN 1364-4. Vyloučeny jsou sestavy skleněných tvárnic, skleněných dlaždic a profilované sklo podle definice v EN 1051-1 a EN 572-7. V současné době není k dispozici dostatek informací, aby bylo možno stanovit pravidla rozšířené aplikace pro tyto výrobky
