Tato evropská norma popisuje metodu stanovení pevnosti tupého spoje při tahovém namáhání. Tuto metodu lze použít pro všechny typy lepidel. Metoda byla původně určena pro zkoušení v běžných podmínkách, může být také použita ke zkoušení v širokém rozsahu teplot a dalších podmínek prostředí. Metoda vyžaduje tuhé adherendy, které mohou být připraveny v požadovaných rozměrových tolerancích a odolávají silám, které na ně působí během zkoušky.
