Tato evropská norma specifikuje požadavky pro návrh, výrobu a zkoušení ventilů pro činnost při kryogenních teplotách, tj. pro provoz s kryogenními kapalinami pod -10 °C a také při okolních podmínkách, aby bylo umožněno spuštění a odstavení. Specifikuje další požadavky pro činnost při kryogenních teplotách pro příslušnou normu ventilu. Týká se rozměrů do DN 150 včetně vakuových dvouplášťových ventilů pro kryogenní teploty. Tato evropská norma neplatí pro pojistné ventily a ventily pro kapalný zemní plyn (LNG).
