A1 Tato norma stanovuje bezpečnostní požadavky na vznětové motory a jejich základní příslušenství používané ve všech aplikacích na zemi, pod zemí a na vodě, s výjimkou motorů určených k pohonu silničních vozidel a letadel. Speciální požadavky potřebné pro provoz v prostředí s nebezpečím výbuchu nejsou předmětem této normy.
