Platí pro součásti a díly zhotovené z kovových nebo nekovových materiálů, které mají být částečně nebo úplně opatřeny žárově stříkanými povlaky. Povlak může být kovový, kovokeramický, oxidokeramický nebo plastový. Další požadavky na výrobce povlaku, které nejsou specifické pro povlak, mají být zahrnuty v technických dodacích podmínkách.
