Tato evropská norma specifikuje požadavky na užitné vlastnosti uvedené v tabulce 1 a popisuje zkušební metody pro prefabrikované betonové trouby a tvarovky z prostého betonu, drátkobetonu a železobetonu s pružnými spoji (těsněními zabudovanými do stavebního dílce nebo dodanými odděleně) a jmenovitými světlostmi do DN 1 750 pro stavební dílce s kruhovým vnitřním průřezem nebo WN/HN 1 200/1 800 pro stavební dílce s vejčitým vnitřním průřezem. Stavební dílce podle této normy se používají hlavně pro gravitační odvádění odpadních vod, dešťových a povrchových vod samospádem nebo výjimečně při nízkém přetlaku v potrubí zpravidla uloženého do země. Ustanovení pro hodnocení shody vyráběných stavebních dílců je podle této evropské normy.
