Tato norma uvádí metodu stanovení meze smykové pevnosti mezi vrstvami zkouškou ohybem pro plasty, vyztužené uhlíkovými vlákny, v podobě jednosměrných kompozitů. Tato metoda je určena pro použití na zkušební tělesa, jejichž podélná osa je rovnoběžná s osou vláken. Tato metoda je použitelná rovněž pro plasty, vyztužené uhlíkovými vlákny ve formě tkanin. V případě kompozitů s různě orientovanými vrstvami mohou být výsledky, obdržené pomocí vztahu 8.1, použity pouze pro srovnání kompozitů se shodnou skladbou vrstev
