Tato evropská norma stanoví požadavky a zkoušky pro úložné elektroinstalační kanály (CTS) a protahovací elektroinstalační kanály (CDS) určené pro umístění, a kde je to nutné, pro elektricky ochranné oddělení izolovaných vodičů, kabelů a případně jiných elektrických zařízení v instalacích elektrických a/nebo komunikačních systémů. Maximální napětí těchto instalací je AC 1 000 V a DC 1 500 V. Tyto systémy jsou určeny pro montáž pod podlahu, v rovině s podlahou nebo na podlahu.
