Tato evropská norma je určena pro otřesové detektory instalované v budovách, sloužící pro detekci otřesu nebo série otřesů způsobených násilným proniknutím fyzickou překážkou (např. dveře nebo okna). Stanovuje stupně zabezpečení 1 - 4 (v souladu s EN 50131-1), specifické nebo nespecifické drátové nebo bezdrátové detektory a používá třídy prostředí I-IV (viz EN 50130-5). Norma neobsahuje požadavky na detektory určené k detekci pokusů o proniknutí do sejfů nebo trezorů např. vrtáním, řezáním nebo řezáním plamenem. Norma neobsahuje požadavky pro otřesové detektory pro venkovní použití
