Norma specifikuje požadavky na poly(tetrafluóretylén-hexafluórpropylén) (FEP) pro izolaci a pláště, používaný pro komunikační kabely. Jsou uvedeny požadavky na maximální jmenovitou teplotu, hustotu a bod tavení, mechanické vlastnosti v dodaném stavu a po stárnutí, tj. pevnost v tahu a prodloužení při přetržení, zkoušku tepelným rázem, chování při nízké teplotě, vnitřní rezistivitu, dielektrickou konstantu a ztrátový činitel.
