Tato norma stanovuje kritéria přijatelnosti podle EN 50388-1:2022, 10.2 pro kompatibilitu mezi hnacími jednotkami a napájením pro známé jevy a známé technologie. To se týká:

  • - koordinace mezi řízenými prvky a také mezi těmito prvky a rezonancemi v elektrické infrastruktuře za účelem dosažení stability síťové soustavy;
  • - koordinace harmonického chování s ohledem na vznik elektrických rezonancí.

Do oblasti rozsahu platnosti spadají tyto elektrické trakční systémy:

  • - železniční;
  • - systémy městské dopravy s vyhrazenou vodicí dráhou, které jsou integrovány se železnicí;
  • - systémy přepravy materiálu integrované se železnicí
