Tato norma je součástí řady průřezových norem pro zkoušení vlivu prostředí na technické výrobky. V této mezinárodní normě převzaté do evropské normy je uveden postup metod pro zkoušení neupevněných vzorků nebo vzorků s určitou volností pohybu přepravovaných na plošině nákladních kolových vozidel, kde mohou být vystaveny dynamickým namáháním vlivem náhodných rázů při odskoku. Tato zkouška se může též používat jako jednoduchý prostředek pro posouzení přiměřenosti návrhu vzorků, pokud se jedná o jejich konstrukční celistvost
