Tato norma stanovuje požadavky na lakovaný měděný vodič pro vinutí kruhového průřezu, třída 240, s jednoduchou lakovou vrstvou z aromatické polyimidové pryskyřice. Rozsah jmenovitých průměrů jader, na které se tato norma vztahuje, je tento: stupeň 1: 0,020 mm až 2,000 mm včetně; stupeň 2: 0,020 mm až 5,000 mm včetně.
