Tato norma stanovuje požadavky na lakovaný měděný vodič pro vinutí pravoúhlého průřezu, třída 240, s jednoduchou lakovou vrstvou z aromatické polyimidové pryskyřice. Rozsah jmenovitých rozměrů jader, na které se tato norma vztahuje, je tento: šířka: min. 2,0 mm, max. 16,0 mm; tloušťka: min. 0,80 mm, max. 5,60 mm.
