Tato mezinárodní norma se zabývá bezpečností elektrolyzérů, které produkují ionizovanou kapalinu s nízkou viskozitou, určenou pro použití ve spotřebičích pro domácnost a podobné účely pro praní nebo mytí bez detergentu a které se přizpůsobují normám platným pro takovéto spotřebiče. To platí pro elektrolyzéry zkoušené zvlášť za nejnepříznivějších podmínek, které mohou nastat při normálním používání, jejichž jmenovité napětí není větší než 250 V.
