Tato mezinárodní norma stanoví požadavky na elektroizolační materiál obsahující slídový papír s polyesterovou fólií a epoxidovým pojivem, používaný na ovíjení vodičů. Tento materiál se v konečné aplikaci vytvrzuje a je dodáván jako ohebný v rolích, s pryskyřicí ve stavu B. Specifikace v této normě se týká jen jednoduché fólie, i když je možno použít fólii o různých tloušťkách. Tato specifikace zahrnuje materiály o tloušťce 0,07 mm až 0,12 mm. Materiály podle této specifikace splňují stanovený stupeň použití. Nicméně, výběr materiálu pro konkrétní použití by měl být proveden podle skutečných požadavků a ne jen na základě této specifikace
