Tato mezinárodní norma stanoví požadavky na elektroizolační materiál obsahující slídový papír se skleněnou tkaninou nebo plastovou fólií a impregnovaný vhodnou pryskyřicí. Tento materiál je dodáván v ohebném stavu ve formě desek nebo rolí. Výrobek je určen pro kabely, které jsou schopné provozu, když byly vystaveny ohni. Tato specifikace zahrnuje materiály o tloušťce 0.05 mm až 0.15 mm. Materiály podle této specifikace splňují stanovený stupeň použití. Nicméně, výběr materiálu pro konkrétní použití by měl být proveden podle skutečných požadavků a ne jen na základě této specifikace
