Tato část normy specifikuje požadavky na trubičky z vláken z E-skla užívaných buď jako izolační trubičky splétané nebo spřádané se souvislým pružným povlakem z polyvinylchloridu (PVC) nebo jeho kopolymeru nebo směsí z něj.Tyto trubičky jsou vhodné pro použití do teploty 105 °C. Trubičky mají obvykle vnitřní průměr 0,3 mm až 25 mm a jsou obvykle dodávány v těchto barvách: černá, bílá, červená, žlutá, modrá, hnědá, zelená, šedá, oranžová, růžová a zeleno-žlutá. Tato norma přejímá originál EN, který přejímá francouzsko-anglický originál normy IEC. Originál EN obsahuje 3 stránky, originál normy IEC obsahuje 21 stránek dvojjazyčného anglicko-francouzského textu.
