Tato norma se zabývá vysokofrekvenčními koaxiálními konektory k použití s vysokofrekvenčními kabely jak ohebnými, tak polotuhými, kde se pro vystavení drsným vlivům prostředí vyžaduje rozhraní se vzduchovým dielektrikem a vysoká mechanická stabilita. Konektory zajišťují nízký odraz v mikrovlnné oblasti do 12 GHz a všechny modely mohou poskytovat utěsnění do tlaku 3 bary. Pro tento typ konektoru se doporučují kabely IEC 75-7 a 75-8 z IEC 61196-6.
