Norma stanoví požadavky na vlastnosti lepicích listů, které jsou určeny zejména jako spojovací listy pro lamináty podle IEC 61249-2-39 při výrobě vícevrstvých desek s plošnými spoji podle IEC 62326-4. Vícevrstvé desky, které obsahují tyto materiály, jsou vhodné pro bezolovnaté montážní procesy. Tento materiál může být rovněž použit jako spojovací materiál pro další typy laminátů. Lepicí list podle této normy má definovanou hořlavost (zkouška vertikálního hoření). Stupně hořlavosti zcela vy-tvrzeného lepicího listu se dosáhne použitím brómovaných retardérů hoření, které jsou obsaženy jako nedílné součásti polymerní struktury. Po vytvrzení lepicího listu podle pokynů dodavatele je teplota skelného přechodu minimálně 170 °C
