Jsou zahrnuty termíny, které jsou již k dispozici v normách IEC na LED světelné zdroje nebo se používají v dokumentaci výrobců. Tato norma poskytuje popisné termíny (jako "LED světelné zdroje") a měřitelné definice, které již byly upraveny IEC 60050-845 (jako "index podání barev"). Příloha A uvádí přehledy konstrukcí LED součástek a systémů složených z LED světelných zdrojů a ovládacích zařízení
