Tato část souboru norem definuje normální podmínky pro určení výkonu fotovoltaických koncentrátorů a jejich fotovoltaických součástí. Předmětem této části souboru norem je definovat konzistentní soubor podmínek, aby údaje výkonu na datových listech a štítcích měly normalizovaný základ. Jsou použity dva soubory podmínek, aby charakterizovaly: provozní podmínky, které představují provoz na slunci ve vztahu k obvykle zjištěným meteorologickým podmínkám, a zkušební podmínky, které představují provoz, když je modul ve snadno reprodukovatelném prostředí
